Il est aussi Professeur de g\u00e9ographie \u00e0 UCLA, j&rsquo;ai eu le plaisir de lire plusieurs de ses livres et chaque fois avec \u00e9norm\u00e9ment d&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 150%; margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: left;\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: black;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'cambria' , serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Dans son livre \u00a0\u00bbColapse\u00a0\u00bb \u00a0\u00bbeffondrement\u00a0\u00bb dans sa traduction fran\u00e7aise il pr\u00e9cise que de nombreuses soci\u00e9t\u00e9s se sont effondr\u00e9es au sens litt\u00e9ral du terme: le nombre de leurs membres est devenu infime, comme chez les Mayas ou dans l&rsquo;\u00eele de P\u00e2ques, voire est devenu nul, comme chez les Vikings du Groenland. Pourquoi ces disparitions ou presque?
